teaming up with another creative director to lead a pitch for the first video game channel, our proposal beat out ten other design agencies. with a small team and limited budget, we managed to deliver every graphic element for the entire network, from the network branding collection to complete graphic packages for each of the twelve shows in the network’s launch lineup. one special feature was the use of a set of original characters used in “micro-bumpers” to act as buffers between the mass of different styles used between commercials, promos and network branding. an interesting first for tv network graphics was creating an icon family to harmonize each unique show with the network brand.
