orange records was a short lived electronica label based in orange county, california. after creating logo and logotype designs, i packaged the first release which was a limited hand letter-pressed design with a die-cut pocket holding a 3.5 inch floppy disk. the next two releases were produced in higher numbers, so traditional printing was used. the release by d’archangelo was printed with a rich, deep black ink and metallic silver. the next design for datatheif was printed with standard printing inks, but with one of them is “missing.” the starting point for this design was an image that was corrupted by an internet transfer.
